T's & C's
Arrival/Departure: Our campsite is accessed via a short single-lane width track. Please be careful driving onto and off the main road at the access point as it is a 60mph main carriageway, and there is a slight step in level between the entrance and the road. The track is also unsurfaced so please drive slowly and carefully. We do not accept any responsibility for damage caused to vehicles from the undergrowth, the hedgerow growth, the track surface, entrance level changes, or cars on the main road.
Car parking on site: Our car parking area is a sloping grass field. Please make sure you park horizontally across the slope with your hand brake on. We do not accept any responsibility for any damage caused or break-ins or losses whilst your vehicles are parked on site. Please do not leave valuables in your car or tent - we do not accept responsibility for any losses here either.
Getting around site: Our campsite is a farm site, and as such the fields are not what you might expect from a commercial campsite. There will be holes, divots, badger sets, animal created paths, tracks, holes, burrows, ditches, humps, tussocks, uneven ground, stones, uneven paths, slippery paths and grass, twigs, branches and other natural debris on our site. Unfortunately this means wheelchair users and people with uneven footing or other challenges will not find our site suitable. Please visit the Greener Camping Club website to find another campsite that will be more suited at www.greenercamping.org. We cannot accept any liability for any injury or breakages caused from navigating around or staying on our site.
STANDARD BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
All Camping pitches and Campervan pitches are available from 4pm on the day of arrival. On departure all pitches are to be left in acceptable condition and vacated by 10am (unless we have agreed an extended check-out) to allow us time to do any maintenance on site and prepare it ready for the next set of guests!
When you make a booking confirmation, an email will be sent to you confirming the pitch, dates, times and payment details of your holiday. Booking and payment is considered the establishment of a legal contract.
We are primarily a family site and only able to accommodate small groups who want to enjoy our quiet rural location - If your group fits in with our values. This typically isn't hen and stag parties sorry.
Payment & Security Deposit:
We request full payment on reservation of your accommodation, your booking and payment will then be confirmed by email. If there is an issue in collecting payment when you book, your spot will be provisionally held for 24 hours until you pay. If payment is not made within that time, then your booking will automatically be cancelled. Payments should be made via our website or we do cater other forms of payment (via internet banking) but only through special request after contacting us.
Cancellation & Refunds:
We realise sometimes plans change and as such we will always do our best to re-let a holiday. If we are able to do so we will refund the cost of the booking less a 15% admin charge, any GCC and booking protection fees paid if your booking isn't covered (as long as the cancellation is more than 30 days prior to the booking start date). Refunds will be made via Paypal as we have no means of offering card refunds. Bookings cancelled within 30days will be refunded at our discretion - if we are able to fill your pitch for your dates (minus a 20% admin fee, GCC fee and any booking protect fees if you paid for this but your cancellation isn't covered). All cancellations must be confirmed in writing. We recommend you take holiday cancellation insurance (we have paired with Booking Protect to be able to offer you this) to cover any loss should we not be able to re-let. In the unlikely event of the pitches not being available due to fire, flood or other unforeseen circumstances, Eco-escape cannot accept liability or responsibility for any loss, including consequential loss.

We will only charge for replacements in exceptional cases, as we expect a degree of wear and tear but security deposits will be used for careless damages to our facilities or tent structures (including rips and tears in canvas doors, soot marks and damage to the door zips) and if excessive cleaning is required due to smoking in the tents and/or excessive dirt etc. Security deposits are also retained if payment is not settled with the owner for any extras had during your stay or if you have not sorted your rubbish in accordance with the request.
A BBQ and fire pit or brazier are provided for your enjoyment. Please ensure you make sure they are safe to leave when you have finished to avoid fire hazards, DO NOT take them into your own tent. Parents should ensure children are supervised at all times to avoid accidents.
The farm is a wonderful place for children to play, but parents or guardians are responsible for them at all times. Children must not play unsupervised anywhere on the farm or in the farm's woods, lakes or stream. Eco-escape accepts no responsibility for injury incurred on site. Please be careful on the decking areas as they may be slippery after rainfall or shower use, and be aware that the showers can get up to scalding temperatures. Please note that this is a farm, not a perfectly manicured lawn and garden, therefore we cannot guarantee the odd deposit from wildlife and natural hazards such as stones, trip hazards, ditches, falling branches...etc., we ask that you respect the natural limitations of the site.
Please remember that the showers, toilets, and communal areas are shared, so we request you clean up after use and try to accommodate others’ usage. We will clean the showers and toilets daily.
Flames, hunting and Fireworks:
No firearms, hunting paraphernalia, fireworks or Chinese lanterns are permitted on the farm. No naked flames of any sort are not permitted inside the tents.
The BBQ's are very safe if properly used - instructions are in each tent and should be read before use. Fire's should not be lit by persons under the age of 18. In the unlikely event of a fire, all guests should vacate . Basically vacate the tent to a safe uncovered distance. We take every care to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable holiday, but cannot be held liable for any accidents or consequential loss.
Please note that swimming, bathing or fishing are not permitted under our conditions, do so at your own risk, or wait until you are at a suitable swimming location such as the many lifeguarded beaches around the area.
Guests will be held responsible for any fire, damage or alteration to the structures we let guests use caused by negligence.
We don't allow any over amplified music or loud revelling as this would disturb our other guests and local residents. We really do enforce this and request that noise after 10 pm is kept to a minimum. It’s really important to us that other guests have a peaceful break and are shown respect. Anyone committing a nuisance or disturbing the peace may be asked to leave immediately and without a refund.
No Fire Policy:
Fires are restricted strictly to the wood burning stoves and firepit provided.
No Smoking Policy:
Anyone who smokes outdoors is responsible for disposing of their cigarette butts safely in the bin liner provided and must not litter the surrounding area. Smoking is not permitted in the shared areas of our campsite.
We do allow well behaved dogs at Eco-escape but do remember this is a farm and livestock may be in adjacent fields so any dog chasing or harming farm animals will not be tolerated. You will be held accountable to any costs to the farmer. We also do not allow pets to disturb other campers so please ensure they are well-behaved and under control at all times. Please pick up any dog waste using the poo bags provided, and place inside your landfill bin liner.
We are passionate about recycling and would ask that you to comply by using our recycling facilities and bins appropriately.
Eco-escape cannot be held responsible for any lost or stolen property.
We cannot be held responsible for stolen and lost property.
We only allow parking next to the tents on our campervan pitches. Car parking is provided a short distance away from your pitch in a separate field. Please use the wheelbarrows provided to unload and repack up your belongings at the beginning and end of your stay.
There is an abundance of wildlife on the farm. Enjoy it but be careful. Put your food in the landfill bin liner and keep it away from animals during your stay, or mice or birds could try and eat it. Don’t leave rubbish outside of the tents and on the ground as foxes/birds could scatter it.
