Our woodland camping pitches are slightly more secluded than our meadow tents and teeming with wildlife so are perfect for small families with older kids wanting a bit more privacy and a bit more nature immersion.

All our pitches have a firepit/BBQ grill and picnic bench provided and our deluxe camping pitches also each have a hammock and a small sheltered area to eat under (these are the Birchwood pitch (7m x 5m), Woodland Ash (5m diameter circular, Ivy pitch (4m diameter circular), and Snowdrop (7m x 4m). Bramble pitch is approximately 6m x 6m.  

 

Please note our campsite is off grid - therefore we have no electric hook-ups.

N.b. The woodland pitches are smaller in size than our meadow pitches and they each vary in size so please check your tent dimensions to check it will fit the above sizes before you book.

Our woodland pitches can also only be accessed on-foot via an uneven, stony track so are better suited to campers who travel light, and who don't mind a bit more of an adventure trek to their pitch. 

 

Please note your do need to be fit and agile to access the Hog Pitches and they are further from facilities.

The woodland area has flushing toilets and hot showers, as well as a separate covered washing up and eating area, and access to clean drinking water, but you are also welcome to use the facilities in the meadow. 

​

Perfect for feeling like you are a million miles away, totally escaping the hustle and bustle, whilst also knowing you are just a short drive away from some gorgeous beaches, delightful cafes and all the adventures you could wish for.

Perfect for smaller tents or if you have your own bell tents, our wildflower meadow pitches are approximately 4.5 - 5m in diameter.  Please check with us if you are unsure if your tent will fit your intended pitch before booking.  Each pitch has it's own timber shelter (perfect to keep a shower off), a picnic bench and firepit. Situated at the top of our wildflower meadow, these get sun late into the evening and have a view of the woodland treetops. At the bottom of the meadow, we have two spots for slightly larger tents (please note - these two pitches come without a shelter but there is room to bring your own).

    Hay meadow grass pitches (no shelter) 1-4

​

These large, level, and well-spaced grass pitches are perfect for larger families and those bringing particularly big tents. Each of these pitches are approximately 8m x 4m in pitching size, although the guy ropes can extend beyond that, and it is possible to pitch a pup tent or awning adjacent to it too.  Each pitch has it's own picnic bench and firepit situated in front. These pitches get sun from the early morning, right throughout the day, before it drops behind the trees in the evening. The field in front is allocated for family games.They range from 30m to 150m from the kitchen and bathroom facilities,  Please note our campsite is off grid - therefore we have no electric hook-ups.

    Hay meadow grass pitches (no shelter)  5-6

​

Very similar to our Hay meadow pitches 1-4 but the pitching area is larger - 8m x 10m, and ever so slightly sloping.  Each pitch has it's own picnic bench and firepit. Situated along the Western hedge line of our Hay meadow, these are the furthest from the facilities (200m or so) but it is a nice easy flat walk back and forth. It is possible to pitch a pup tent or awning adjacent to these too. Please note our campsite is off grid - therefore we have no electric hook-ups.
