OUR STORY

ECO-ESCAPE CAMPSITE

The Farm

Castle Pill Farm has been an agricultural holding for a good part of the 20th century. Through the years we have grown potatoes, run a farm shop and grown pick-your-own fruit. We currently keep sheep and have recently branched into renewable energy.

Come Visit

The site slopes towards Castle Pill; a tidal inlet of the Cleddau estuary and an ancient oak woodland. You don't have to travel far to see beautiful bays and picturesque beaches; Pembrokeshire is Britain's only coastal national park, and boasts over 52 spectacular beaches with over 166 miles of coastal paths exploring them.

The 'Eco' Bit

We are passionate about recycling and upcycling, and doing our part to look after the environment. Our aim is reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible whilst also ensuring our guests have a lovely stay. Eco-features to our site include; upcycled firepits homemade furniture from sustainable timber sources, bat and bird boxes in our trees, sustainable firewood, solar lighting and we offset our energy use by having wind turbines gently generating away on the edge of  the farmland. There’s no electricity; just firelight and the starry night sky!

Who we are!

Having grown up in Pembrokeshire, we know what this beautiful county has to offer. We have a passion for all things wild including local ecology and wildlife, water sports and outdoor activities. We have ventured into the camping market to share what we love with you!

THE GREENER CAMPING CLUB CERTIFIED

What is this?

We are also a Greener Camping Club campsite, which means that by staying with us and becoming a member you are supporting environmental projects such as habitat creation and a carbon off-set scheme, which means that for every separate camping party we host, a tree is planted!
